Zoeller Sump Pump for Household and Industrial Needs

Common usage of sump pumps is to handle residential waste water problems. For big household and industrial needs, such problem can be handled by using a Zoeller sump pump. Unlike with residential pumps, Zoeller products utilize impellers that can allow passage of small solid wastes. They offer numerous product series to assure that sewage and wastewater requirements will be dealt accordingly.

One of the most famous pump series is the Model 211 series submersible pump. It is commonly nicknamed as the aqua-mate and can be used by common household users. Its motor runs at 115V and 5.5A electric current rating. The motor is wired as single phase at 60Hz, can consume one-fourth horsepower, can generate 3400RPM, and pumps 32 to 82 gallons per minute. During dewatering, the pump can withstand environment temperature up to 43 degrees Celsius. However, the pump is equipped with thermal overload protection to avoid damages in case the pump has been subjected to higher temperature or generated excessive heat because of internal operation. It is oil-free and the base, housing, and impeller is non-corrosive. Its switch is mechanically operated and has a dual pole. Furthermore, its impeller is non-clogging and can pass spherical solid wastes with sizes up to 2 inches.

Next up is the Model 264 cast iron submersible pump series. It comes in 115V and 230V motors and consumes one-fourth horsepower. In addition, its motor is single phase and is rated at 1725RPM. It is oil-filled and resets automatically during thermal overload. The switching system can be automatic or non-automatic, is float operated, and has a submersible dual pole mechanical switch. The float of some product in the series comes was packaged with a piggyback variable level float switch. Its impeller was designed to be non-clogging and to accept solid wastes sizing up to 2 inches. The pump has corrosion resistant powder coating and epoxy finish. One interesting feature of this series is its capability to be configured as simplex or duplex system to suit various wastewater pumping needs.

For industrial needs, one of the most suitable Zoeller sump pump series is the Model 600 standard sewage waste series. Unlike with household pumps that supports 115 voltage input, the 600 series only supports a minimum of 230 voltage inputs. In addition, this industrial pump is also available in three phase motors. For single phase motors, input should be 230V and for three phase motors, it can range from 230V to 575V. The motor also runs at 60Hz with 1750RPM and is available in different power ratings from 1HP to 7.5HP. The pump also has a mean of providing sufficient heat dissipation through oil coolants and heavy duty finned motor housing. It has a Class 30 cast iron construction and powder coating and epoxy finish to prevent corrosion. Its also has a semi-open non-clogging impeller that can pass small solid wastes from 2.5 to 3 inches. For water discharging, different flange sizes can be added depending on the industrial needs.

Apart from 100% computerized testing, Model 600 series have dual tandem seals. These seals enables the cooler operation that will prolong the service life of the pump. They are also rated for operation in hazardous environment and provides explosion proof in the installation process. Adding to that is the enormous 296 to 960 gallons per minute pumping capacity of the series.

Users can consider a Zoeller sump pump if they are having wastewater problems. Their conservative design and heavy-duty construction allows users to select the best sump pump for the job.
